Welcome to Woodstock Medical Centre

The Practice is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our patients, by providing the highest standard of multi-disciplinary care. Our innovative service delivery model aims to ensure patients are seen by the most appropriate clinician first time, every time.

Our Practice Boundary covers the following postcode areas ML8, ML11 and ML12 when Woodstock Medical Centre is the closest surgery geographically. Demographically, we have a practice population of approximately 13,000 patients under the care of our three GP partners and their staff within the Woodstock Medical Centre.

Lanarkshire Medical Group

The Woodstock Surgery is part of Lanarkshire Medical Group, which serves the population of Lanark, Strathaven and East Kilbride. We are a friendly, forward thinking group of GP Practices and are actively involved in teaching Glasgow University Medical Students. We offer a full service 5 days a week, and can also deliver advice by phone. We are open Mondays to Fridays, 8:00am to 6pm, excluding bank holidays.

Coronavirus Update

The Practice will be operating a telephone triage system until further notice. We ask that you please do not attend the practice without an appointment.

Please note, as the risk of COVID-19 is still at a substantial risk, we ask all patients to wear face coverings and observe social distancing when in the surgery.

  • Prescriptions should be collected from a nominated pharmacy and not from the surgery
  • Booked practice nurse appointments will be conducted by telephone
  • GP and ANP face to face appointments will be limited and you may be offered a same day telephone appointment as an alternative
  • Our Entrance door is locked. If you do have an appointment at the surgery please attend at the back door (opposite the Health Centre Entrance) where you will be let into the building
  • Repeat Prescription forms and any other paperwork to be handed in to the surgery should be put into the letterbox outside the front door.

Please note: Woodstock Road Closure between Bannatyne Street and its junction with Thomas Taylor Avenue from 30th May for up to 7 months.
